Description
Swedish songstress Lykke Li's MTV "Unplugged" performance is a gorgeous offering of some of her most ethereal, unforgettable songs from her EPs and her full-length albums, Youth Novels and Wounded Rhymes. But her MTV "Unplugged" performance also included one song we didn't see coming: Lykke Li diverged from her own material and performed "Velvet" by British band The Big Pink as her "Contradictions Track," a departure from her usual musical offerings, presented by Starburst. All the songs can be found on her recently released sophomore album, Wounded Rhymes.
MTV Unplugged has become known for over the past 20 years, as it has provided a venue for such artists as Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton and Nirvana to perform acoustic versions of their songs in front of a television audience.
