Superstar, singer-songwriter and six-time Grammy® Award-winner Taylor Swift will perform a new song from her upcoming fourth studio album Red for the first time at the “2012 MTV Video Music Awards LIVE from the STAPLES Center on Thursday, September 6 on MTV at 8:00pm ET/PT.
MTV also announced the first confirmed presenters set to appear at this year’s show, including: Miley Cyrus, Wiz Khalifa, Mac Miller and the “Fierce Five,” the U.S. Women’s Olympics Gymnastics Team that won the team gold medal at the 2012 Olympic games.
Swift joins the extraordinary roster of previously announced performers that include multi-platinum selling group Green Day, jaw-dropping performer P!nk, megastar Alicia Keys, and British boy band phenoms One Direction who are first-time VMA performers and nominees.
The show will be hosted by Kevin Hart, the actor and comedian known for his sharp tongue and self-deprecating humor, who will leave no stone unturned as he roasts the world’s biggest stars in music and entertainment.
