Directed by Declan Whitebloom (also directed "Mean") who by now followed Taylor's instincts on the new video: "When Taylor says, 'I've got an idea,' you listen to what she's gonna say. And so I did, and it was a great idea—and I loved it!"
The video depicts Taylor as an bummed-out, bored, nothing to live for office worker who is constantly tormented by her surrounding reality. Whether it's the elevator crowd silence, non-functional office equipment, rude and inconsiderate office workers or the dead end job, Taylor, as froppy and messed up as we have ever seen her, manages to find a light in her day. Stealing moments of happiness from the pictures and videos on her tablet, Taylor is transported to the love she feels for her man who doesn't appear to be around anymore.
The video suggests that no matter how dull and dim life can be, love will always shine a smile into your life. Love will conquer all... and it does in a fairytale ending.
"Ours" is the fifth single from her current album "Speak Now." When asked about her next work, Miss Swift definitely said it would be "very different." We can't wait to hear what "different" means!
