After a string of escalating divorce rumours about Katy Perry and Russell Brand they've finally called it a day.
The 27 year-old Firework singer and 36 year-old hubby Brand's divorce was announced on Friday after they spent Christmas away from eachother and were sighted without their wedding rings on.
Following the break-up Perry's close friend Rihanna who planned Katy's hen's night prior to the Brand/Perry wedding invited her to stay with her in her family house in Barbados or suggested a girly getaway to Mexico.
Clearly the pair want to be as far away from eachother as possible....Perry is currently in Hawaii thinking about RiRi's offer whilst Brand is staying in a luxury suite at London's Savoy Hotel and is considering a permanent move back to British ground for a fresh start.
Sources suggest that the break up was as a result of Brand wanting to start a family and Perry not being ready just yet.
Last month Brand, said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show: "I would like one [a baby]. I love those little babies in the beginning."
A month earlier Perry told DeGeneres that she would "love to have children" with Brand, but she did not want to become a "Hollywood housewife."
Following the split Brand released a statement saying: ''Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I'll always adore her and I know we'll remain friends.''
