Rita Ora is about to take over the world with or without the help of MTV or Jay Z.
Ora has already had two No. 1 singles - "R.I.P." and "Hot Right Now" - in the UK and she doesn't even have her debut album out yet. She had her first record deal at 14 and has already been signed by Jay Z's Roc Nation for 3 years - HOVA is ready to make her dreams come true. In a recent interview with MTV, Jay Z applauded the UK street smart kid who turned sneaker girl into music super star. "She's one of the people that, if you were in the position, you say, 'I'm gonna help her get her dream out and then we'll see what happens,'
"I think her energy is infectious, because out the gate, two #1s in London and she'll just continue to grow from there."
Rita is a girl who wants it bad and it does hurt that she can count alumni Amy winehouse and Emma Bunton in her company from the Sylvia Young Theatre School. Her YouTube channel is out of control and to date her infectious energy has spilled over into some huge superstar cameos including Tinie Tempah and Drake. She has also been compared to Beyonce and Rihanna in some circles which is about as good as it gets.
MTV PUSH is proud to have Rita as our feature artist this month. We have her spectacular music videos plus several LIVE performances and interviews that will help you know this lady a little better. Might as well...she is going to be huge.
