Adam Young and his syntho-fusion creations of Owl City have lit up the sky with his newest track and video "Shooting Star."

Adam definitely has the heartbeat of "feel good" music in his organ, keyboards, fingertips and soul. His most recent song was with MTV PUSH darling Carly Rae Jepsen in "Good Times" made us dance and laugh with teenage fun.

This time, "Shooting Star" follows Felix Baumgartner to the edge of Earth's atmosphere and beyond alongside Katy Perry's "Firework." Where Katy's "Firework" suggested we are a little critical of ourselves, in pain needing to break free and "shine the light," Owl City sees our nature as more curoius, inspiring, provocative and willing to spread whatever wings we choose. The song is a softer feel good than "Firework" - less anthemic, however just as potent.

My reaction is the same, after it's finished, I just hit the restart button again. Also, it's hard to imagine Adam Young's voice become so powerful - his genius lies in his subtlety, silence and softness - same soul searching just a different street.
