Brandon Flowers and The Killers are back on music's radar with their newest single "Runaways" from their 4th upcoming album called Battle Born The song comes after an epic 6 years on the road with a 1.5 year recovery break.

In May of 2011 the band announced they were back in their Las Vegas studio. The new album consists of 15 tracks including "Battle Born", "Runaways" , "Miss Atomic Bomb", "Heart of a Girl", "Flesh and Bone", "Carry Me Home", "Here With Me" and "The Rising Tide."

The album is set for release on September 18th while the band headlines festivals in North America and Europe this summer.

“Runaways” details a struggling relationship that leads to a burnt out marriage. Lead singer Brandon Flowers sings about a man unable to support his wife and child after too many late-night mistakes. He sings: “We used to look at the stars and confess our dreams, hold each other till the morning light / We used to laugh, now we only fight, baby are you lonesome now?”
