Lykke Li, a Swedish singer, has virtually cemeted her position at the indie pop top with her latest heartwretching inner torment "Wounded Rhymes."

25 yr-old Li is no stranger to the indie scene having grown a loyal following from her 2008 Youth Novel. This debut album, far from perfect, polished or emotionally complete held Li's snarky attitude, struggle and spellbinding expression that resonated with similar 21 yr-olds. "Wounded Rhymes", her sophmore effort, takes a huge leap in emotional depth and confidence that storytells where she has been hiding these past three years.

Produced by extraordinaire Bjorn Yttling (Peter, Bjorn and John). His golden touch is present on all ten tracks, creating a rich sound layered with echoes, harmonious vocals and of course, Zachrisson’s unmistakable tribal drums.

MTV recently interviewed Li about the mysterious force behind her moody and moving music. Lykke Li reveals that her desire to escape the unhappiness of her youth in Stockholm influenced her early on while her need to write and express comes at the price of playing monotonous show after show. She also reveals how she translates her very visual imagination into her music, and how her restlessness informs her creative spirit.

MTV recorded Li on an MTV Unplugged series which hopefully MTV Europe will gain the rights to - stay tuned.

In the meantime, please enjoy the MTV interview with upcoming indie pop princess Lykke Li plus her visually stunning "Get Some."
