The video is a stripped down bare bones ensemble that penetrates your bones like a frost-chilled wind. Li who has been playing L.A. recently is seen as a conceptual performance artist that stares at you emotionally taking you through the numbness of an ended relationship. Li and her band all share a slightly different pain in their eyes as they call to Jerome to "swear you'd never leave me."
The tones of the song are haunting and piercing at the same time with strong penetrating organ bellows, sharp xylophone pricks and awkwardly comforting base strums.
Jerome was created before Lykke went on her current tour that is taking her through Europe, the US and down under Australia.
Does Jerome remind you of the feeling you had when a relationship ended?
Catch an earlier interview that MTV did with Lykke Li back in April as she talks about her current album.
