Some question the meteoric rise to stardom as too fast for the - up and coming/all ready there - artist. Her popularity has sizzled like an explosive fuse across the US with hot chart entries from West to East coast. Already in Europe, she is starting to make a buzz that may not die out.

Del Rey sums up her work simply: "The songs I've written are an homage to true love and a tribute to living life on the wild side." She self-describes her music as "Hollywood sadcore pop" that will speak for itself. She is known for "Video Games" and "Blue Jeans" which will only be complemented by several other tracks on this newest album including "Born To Die," "Hey Lolita Hey" and the hip hop influenced "National Anthem."

The 25 year-old remains grounded in her convictions that human nature naturally wants to be sought out and adored, "It’s innately human to want other people to bear witness to your life. It’s important for people to be watched. They don’t want to be alone. I don’t want to be alone." From this she realizes that fame is earned and not simply bought, traded or created - even when you know it's good sometimes it's not enough.

"The record is going to be gorgeous. That much we know. Whether or not it will work? That much we don’t know."

For now, Lana has captivated our attention on MTV PUSH with a more than unique performance that shows this artist not only sings her words but also lives them.
