Karmin’s itty bitty cover of Chris Brown's ‘Look At Me Now’ was their artist/group moment “that changed our life.” (Note, last month, Carly Rae Jepsen’s was JB’s tweet) Posted on April 12, 2011, the blogosphere was ignited by Amy “unknown” Heidemann who could spew raps like Nicki Minaj, Busta Rhymes and Lil’ Wayne ..COMBINED. From this moment on Nick Noonan and Amy’s life had changed from an intimate after college collaboration to fully fledged rock/rap stars.
Professionally, Nick was an award winning trombone player while Amy was a Nebraska styled songstress who embodied a 40s film star in a black corset and ruby-red lipstick. Quirky, funny, raw and full of spoof and brilliance the pop duo continued to gain notoriety via ‘karmincovers’ (on YouTube) plus a series of media appearances with big names like Ellen Degeneres, Ryan Seacrest and Saturday Night Live. In June 2011, the duo signed with L.A. Reid as a part of Epic Records. Most recently, Karmin won Rolling Stone Magazine’s “Women Who Rock” (announced Sept. 25th,2012).

To date, karmincovers is approaching 1 million subscribers with over 235 million views! In 2012, they hit number one with originals Broken Hearted” and “Hello” on the US Dance Chart accumulating almost 15 million views on YouTube to date. Karmin are ready to show the world what they can do with their own original music. Amy describes their upcoming debut album ‘Hello’ as ‘an introduction to Karmin. It's a new sound — we like to call it swag-pop.’
