Like a rainbow of colored stars in the night sky, Coldplay's new "Xylobands" are radio-controlled LED devices that light up to the rhythm of band ballads replacing the cellphone and lighter effect known to everyone.
Frontman, Chris Martin revealed the flashing wristbands was a concept innovation by RB Concepts chief Jason Regler who pitched the idea to the band at Glastonbury 2011. Their inaugural show for Xylo Myloto in Madrid Spain featured 17,000 devices given away to fans creating a spectacular effect.
A cool momento and a cool effect for fans. What's next, wrist bands given out according to section to create a fan-based, section oriented light extravaganza. We can see it now.
