When one mentions the name Christina Aguilera - immediately very strong images form from her saucy sexuality, her sharp criticism, her perfectionist talent, and her pledge to pave the way for women's right to express. Ms. Aguilera recently just released her latest LP Bionic which surprisingly is a return to a more playful character in love with music, exploration and the next generation.

In a candid interview on Fuse TV - 'On The Record with FUSE' Christina discusses her current life situation, her son max and her husband - 'The Rock.' How these two play such an important role in her life eventhough she is still not willing to back down from the head strong superstar that made her world famous. And just why is she such a fighter?

Christina explains that she grew up in an abusive household, that she never really had a sense of safety coming home and perhaps for that reason she became the perfectionsit she is trying to control as many things around her as possible. She trys to be a voice for those who haven't managed to cope as well plus pay tribute to those that went before her (eg. Madonna).

Bionic is a return to playfulness, something her son Max continues to teach her. And while the rumours are true, she doesn't shy away from her sexuality - even with young son, she continues to be an artist that puts herself and her boundaries out there for the world to consume. She says that her husband is the one that holds it all together - totally accepting and totally there for her despite having one of the toughtest jobs on the planet.

Her debut single "Not Myself Tonight" was about being confined as another person during the six months of shooting for her upcoming movie Burlesque. It's about breaking out and about feeling the pressures of being bound up wanting to desperately return to a normal life. Anything but normal - Not Myself Tonight certainly holds chock value yet under this context does convey her message. What does she say about critics? Well - of course there will always be critics but her most faithful fans know the truth.

A very candid and enjoyable interview - a moment of real Christina - thank-you.
