Local Nevada newspaper Las Vegas Review-Journal claimed Simpson and the singer "were all over each other" at the Hard Rock Hotel.
Simpson's spokesman said: "Jessica and Fred Durst have mutual friends and were both at the event. The rest is absolutely untrue."
Jessica and her husband Nick Lachey have apparently recently purchased a one million dollar home in the city.
