Adele managed to tip toe onto the Grammy stage 7 times in the course of the night - 6 for awards she won and one for a spellbinding performance that silenced any and all critics alike.
Beginning in acapella, Adele lead the intro of "Rolling In The Deep" for several moments before being joined by intrumental and her band. The song was passioned and sad as ever up there with her stunning performance at the Royal Albert Hall in September of 2011.
Definitely the atmosphere was heavy on the greatest music celebration night of the year, but Adele's song, straining to let here broken heart tell all, mixed perfectly with the crowd and the tone of the night to a huge standing ovation at the finish.
Adele won the most coveted award of the night - Album of the Year for 21.
