The 2010 EMA Awards from Madrid, Spain were once again unforgetable with show stopping performances, odd moments and of course all the winners we expected... or didn't.

Shakira started off the show with a vibrant version of Waka Waka where she was joined by UK rapper Dizzee Rascal for a first time ever performance with the Columbian princess. Shakira was also honored with MTV's "Free You Mind" Award" for her contributions to ending world illiteracy - all we can say was classy classy classy.

Eva Longoria was a hit/miss host for this years awards that had a few sparkling moments and a few not so. Three of the most memorable moments were her skit with Dizzee Rascal backstage practicing her rapping skills, introducing the Longoria Spanish family which consisted of 5 very buff muchachos in only speedo swimwear and lastly as she wobbled onto stage dressed as the famed Spanish Iberico Ham leg as a parady to Lady Gaga's meat exhibition at this years 2010 VMA's. Fans will have the last word whether the Desperate Housewife was a thumbs up or get out MC for this year.

The MTV EMAs rocked the Caja Magica in Madrid, Spain! Watch the entire show right here, right now!

The winners for this year were more American than anything which surprised fans both in emails, comments and Tweets wondering where have the European Awards gone. Nonetheless, the act were voted by the public and Lady Gaga graciously and energetically accepted her hat-trick of awards while standing on a Budapest stage during her performance. She even took the time, after winning the Best Song of the Year, to sing an impromptu solo verse for all MTV fans. She looked fabulous and bubbly BTW. Gaga also won her other two categories with the Best Female of the Year and Best Pop Act.

Justin Bieber wasn't in the house, but that didn't matter as our master of digital MC'ing who tweeted from a US hotel room attracted literally millions of fans all with the same message - "I love you Justin." Actually, no one really knows the effect of the tweet circus from Bieber; however, the global teen phenomenon took home two awards for the night winning Best Male Artist from the likes of mentor Usher, Eminem and Kanye West (perhaps this was a moment Kanye could have come on stage with the span of male nominees?!) He also won for Best MTV Push Award which was only announced on the backstage interviews rather than live...which brings us to another point...

What happened to Best European Act? Somehow this year it was passed over eventhough it was learned that Marco Mengoni from Italy WON the coveted award. ??? Anyways, he did and we congratulate him! Not to mention Tokio Hotel who also triumphed in another MTV Category award for Best Worldstage Performance.

Speaking of moving hips and star coordinated dance moves, this year's performances were quite excellent being held from both inside the Caja Magica and outside on the streets of Calle de Alcalá. From Linkin Park, Katy Perry and 30 Seconds to Mars outside to the likes of Ke$ha, Miley Cyrus, B.o.b & Hayley Williams, Rihanna and Bon Jovi the fans were not disappointed. The sexiest set of the night had to go to Rihanna wearing a short white number donning her flaming red hair and gorgeous lipstick singing "Only Girl In The World." Ke$ha, who won for Best Act, was the stranger act dressed in her signature neon get up from neon eyeless and makeup to her constructed chickenwire spray painted outfit. The question was - why was she still singing Tik Tok? Have you hear the epicness of some of her recent leaks from Cannibal, We R Who We R and Sleazy?

Miley Cyrus continues to push her I'm not a little girl anymore image singing "Who Owns My Heart" in an outfit that definately would attract some heart stealers though nothin rauchy this year. Kid Rock also performed his very new single "Born Free" to an explosive background of fire and pyrotechnics. So who was the performance of the night - gonna have to give it Shakira or Rihanna while Linkin Park did some pleasant damage - ok can't decide.

Off stage antics continued backstage with Laura Hayden having one of the Dudeson's bare bottoms in her face - well she kind of asked for it didn't she?
